This is Anna S. She is in 5th grade and her first year at Holy Spirit Catholic School. This is a pre-school day smile that had escaped us for a very long time.
We had always been a public school family, but it had become that Anna was in need of a school that would address her educational needs as well as her spirit and spirituality. Hundreds of children in a building and the classroom ratio of 30:1 left her farther behind and defeated, year after year. With the onset of COVID-19, we determined there was simply no way Anna would sustain what was to come if we did not make a change. We sought out a smaller and more focused environment and learned of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic School. The administration and teachers were so welcoming to our family and Anna. From the first day of school, Anna has been happier and more settled. The environment is kind and inclusive, a true representation of Christ's guidance. Anna has blossomed into a hardworking and confident A-student under her two caring and dedicated teachers. She has also dramatically improved her standardized test scores. HSRCS is a true community, dedicated to education and growth in God. We remark nearly every day how grateful we are for Anna's experience at HSRCS.
As a new family to the Holy Spirit Catholic School in 2020, we came upon the school after a recommendation from our neighbor. We were searching for something different and with everything happening in the world, we wanted to give our daughter a safe environment but also wanted to give her something that would provide some stability and face to face interaction. After our initial tour, we fell in love and they still continue to amaze us on a daily basis. The staff is amazing. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and feel like family. The class sizes are small and the interactions the teachers get with the students because of that is priceless. I also can’t say enough about the community. They are friendly, willing to help and are so inviting. The best thing we did for our daughter is sending her to this amazing school and we can’t wait for our youngest daughter to start at Holy Spirit next year!
We are so thankful and blessed to have found such a wonderful school. Holy Spirit has amazing educators that treat our kids as family. The school goes above and beyond providing our kids with a great safe learning environment and education. Thank you for making a new family feel so welcome this year. We are so blessed to have found Holy Spirit Catholic School. The teachers and staff are all very supportive of our children. They truly care about their growth academically and spiritually. It is refreshing to have the values that we try to model at home reinforced throughout the school day. We know that our children are in an environment that is nurturing while still challenging them to excel. We have two children in 4th and 7th grades in addition to two who have graduated from Holy Spirit. Our older children were well prepared to continue on at Catholic High School and we are confident that our younger children will be as well.
This is our daughter’s first year at Holy Spirit Catholic School coming from public school previously. So far, she has excelled not only in her academics, but in her faith! The smaller class sizes, faith based education, and wonderful staff have been a blessing. We have felt welcomed by many and know that our decision of choosing Holy Spirit Catholic School was the correct one!
We are currently part of the Pre-K program here at Holy Spirit Catholic School. Our experience has been everything that we hoped it would be. Ms. Gesell and the rest of the staff are caring and absolutely wonderful. We feel so blessed to be part of the Holy Spirit family and look forward to our watching our daughter, and eventually our son also, grow and evolve throughout the next 8+ years!
