Ms. Renee Smith
I was born and raised in Southern California not far from Disneyland. I went to California State University, Long Beach where I earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies and completed a graduate program in Teacher Education to earn my teaching credential. Even though I was a “public school” kid who attended religion classes on the weekend, I felt called to teach in Catholic schools. I have taught 1st to 8th grades. After my family and friends passed or moved out of California, I felt God call me to Michigan where my sisters lived. After being separated for 12 years, I am enjoying being with my family again. I am enjoying how beautiful Michigan is and the changing seasons. Every day I marvel at the beauty of the school and the wonderful staff, faculty, and community at Holy Spirit. But I especially enjoy teaching the amazing children that attend our school and church. I feel blessed to be here.
