Ms. Alisia Chmielewski
Ms. Chmielewski received a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Adrian College where she studied percussion as her primary instrument. She did her associate teaching at Onsted Public Schools with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. After graduating college, Ms. Chmielewski moved to Athens, OH where she was a nanny for two great children, ages 6-7. Now She is excited to start her first year as the elementary music teacher for Holy Spirit Catholic Schools.
Ms. Chmielewski has also adapted a new class called Music and Movement for the students to enjoy at Holy Spirit. This class includes activities such as folk dancing, percussion circles, cardio drumming, and more. Since physical activity plays an important part in music, she is eager to share her knowledge and creativity with the students.
In her free time Ms. Chmielewski likes to play music, read her favorite books, enjoy nature, and stay active. One of her favorite sayings is "By doing something you love, you inspire others to do the same." She hopes that will reflect in her classroom and teaching.
