Mrs. Elizabeth Rodriguez-McGirt received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement from Eastern Michigan University. She is a “profesora de vocación” as is said in Spanish; that is, a teacher by vocation to fully understand that she obeys a higher calling to minister to young children.
Mrs. McGirt believes that kindergarten is a wonderful year of growth and discovery, and during this time, she strives to support the whole child’s body, mind, and spirit. Her students are enriched in a classroom with purposeful planning, relevant, challenging lessons, and unique, engaging experiences designed to award the child a strong foundation for educational growth. As a Catholic educator, she presents all material from a faith-based perspective, forever cognizant of keeping God at the heart of every lesson. In doing so, she can demonstrate that faith and wisdom are clearly intertwined by God’s own design.
Mrs. McGirt is married with two sons. She relishes spending time with her family each day. She also enjoys reading, running with her dog, Eli, cooking, and kayaking. Mrs. McGirt is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Ann Arbor. Email Mrs. Rodriguez-McGirt today at msrodriguezmcgirt@holyspiritrcs.org.
