Miss Schmidt
Miss Malinda Schmidt is a recent graduate from the Elementary Education program at SVSU. She was born and raised in Saginaw MI and has had various teaching experiences outside of her education program, having taught swim lessons, substitute taught, and served as a Totus Tuus missionary for the Diocese of Lansing in 2025. She is excited to have her own classroom! From attending parochial schools in elementary, graduating from a Catholic high school, and serving on the executive board of SVSU’s on-campus Catholic ministry for two years, her Catholic faith has always been an important part of her life. She is eager to be able to share that faith every day at Holy Spirit. Her goal is to foster a love for learning in her students and help them grow intellectually and spiritually. When not in the classroom, you will find her outdoors, whether that is walking, running, biking, hiking, swimming, or kayaking. She is also an avid baker and will read books or put together puzzles in her free time. She is excited to get to know her students, their families, and the parish!
